Repeat Prescriptions

Ordering repeat prescriptions

The easiest ways to order repeat prescriptions are:

These accounts show you all your repeat medicine and dosage and you can choose the ones you need.

Collecting your prescription

You can usually collect your prescription from the pharmacy 3 to 5 working days after you have ordered it.

You will need to choose a pharmacy to collect your prescription from. We call this nominating a pharmacy.

You can change your nominated pharmacy at any time:

  • on the app or website where you order repeat prescriptions
  • at your GP practice
  • at any pharmacy that accepts repeat prescriptions

Medication Review

If you have been advised by the surgery that your medication review is due please complete our medication review form.

How do I order my Repeat Prescription?

Patients on long-term medication can order repeat prescriptions in a number of ways:

  • In person – use the white side portion of your last prescription, carefully mark the items required and drop it into the surgery.
  • Via the NHS App

Non-urgent advice: Patient Notice

We do not accept prescription requests by telephone. Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.

Repeat Dispensing

If you or someone you care for uses the same medicines regularly, you may be entitled to Repeat Dispensing direct from the local pharmacist; this means you won’t have to visit the surgery every time you need more medicine.

Please ask the doctor or nurse if you are able to benefit from the service at your next appointment.

To register for Electronic Prescribing, please complete our online form.
